Born and bred to embrace “The Oriole Way,” Cal Ripken, Jr. epitomized Baltimore’s work ethic as the Birds annually competed with and felled the big market teams. The offered white ash treasure is simultaneously a sacred addition to any Hall of Fame or Orioles collection: a Louisville Slugger “P72” signature model bat wielded by Ripken as he rose to stardom with the (then) winningest club in baseball. Turned during the 1981-1983 labeling period, the (33.3-oz/35”) weapon features a deep brown finish and shows heavy game use with ball, cleat, bat-rack and stitch marks throughout, as well as a slight crack on the handle. Graded GU-8.5 by PSA/DNA, this lumber hails from an era during which Ripken debuted, earned Rookie of the Year and MVP plaudits. Full photo LOA from PSA/DNA.
