Armed with no fewer than 17 players who would go on to Major League rosters, the 1921 Baltimore Orioles were logically the International League’s juggernaut, posting a 70-18 home mark and reeling off a (then) record 27 straight triumphs. Celebrating the latter feat, these (2) vintage accessories were crafted that year and bestowed upon one of the vaunted club’s principals. Included are a pendant and pin. Each 14-karat yellow gold accessory measures 3/4”-diameter with a relief baseball on which “CHAMPS 1919 1920 1921” surrounds a round cut genuine diamond. The perimeter of each reads “WORLD’S RECORD 27 STRAIGHT VICTORIES.” These incredibly rare Charm City diamond relics come with an appraisal letter from Kripps Jewelers. More on our website.
Both pieces show amazing preservation with lustrous gold surfaces. The diamonds, meanwhile, are approximately 2.5 mm (0.07 carats), H-1 color and S1-2 clarity. The pin is complete with its original nut and threaded post.
These were crafted specifically in 1921, as four additional International League titles were to follow.
