Incredibly two-time MVP Ted Williams was not named MVP for his two “triple crown” seasons of 1942 and 1947. Presented is a giclee art print honoring Ted’s titanic TC seasons. Composed by renowned sports artist Steve Parson this seldom offered LE artist’s proof #19/42 is scarce in relation to the regularly offered print edition which had a production run of 139 pieces. Framed handsomely with coordinating blond wood and blue velvet matting this stunning rendering appropriately features dual images of the “Splendid Splinter at bat against textured canvas wood grain background. Appearing at bottom center, Williams powerhouse signature shows fence-busting (“9”) strength with “42 47 T.C.” inscription. Completing the design aspects are the header “.406 ’42 Triple Crown ‘47” star and scroll emblem at top center and William’s uniform number “9” at bottom center. Artist Parson’s signature appears at lower right and an “All American Collectibles” hologram sticker has been affixed at lower left. Full photo LOA from JSA
